Web discovery engine StumbleUpon rolling out new features
Popular social web discovery engine StumbleUpon that returned to startup status in 2009, is making a strong comeback. StumbleUpon, the company that recently surpassed Facebook to become the number one website for generating social media traffic in the U.S, just broke a new record with 27.5 million stumbles yesterday, according to a recent tweet from StumbleUpon CEO and Founder Garrett Camp.
The metric was shared via Twitter on Tuesday. StumbleUpon; it launched back in 2001 tells us the record-breaking day follows a strong December, which saw more than 700 million stumbles for the month. 2010 proved to be a big year for StumbleUpon, as it crossed the 12 million-member milestone back in November and now has upwards of 13 million members, according to a company spokesperson.
With over 13.5 million registered users, and having surpassed Facebook as the #1 source of social media traffic on the web this year, Stumbleupon continues to stay as one of the most popular targeted traffic sources on the web.
Next, StumbleUpon has been aggressively rolling out new features. What features do you think StumbleUpon’s should add?
