Justin Brewer: From Soccer Fields to CEO at Greenhub

Early Life in Connecticut
Justin Brewer grew up in Somers, Connecticut, in a family that supported his love for sports. From a young age, he was on the soccer field, pushing himself to compete at the highest levels. That drive carried him all the way to Sacred Heart University, where he became a four-year starter on the NCAA Division I men’s soccer team.
“I learned discipline and teamwork through soccer,” Brewer recalls. “It gave me the foundation I use today in business—showing up, pushing through challenges, and never quitting.”
His years as a student-athlete shaped more than just his athletic career. The experience built his resilience and set the stage for his next chapter.
College Years and Competitive Spirit
At Sacred Heart, Brewer studied Communications Technology while balancing the demands of Division I athletics. He quickly stood out, earning recognition like adidas/NEC Player of the Week. The lessons from long practices and tough games stayed with him.
“Soccer taught me how to lead under pressure,” he says. “Those moments of fighting back when we were down a goal—those are the same instincts I use when running a company.”
First Steps in Business
After graduating in 2013, Brewer began his career in sales. He joined YP.com as an Account Executive, creating advertising strategies for small businesses. Later, at Thomson Reuters FindLaw, he worked with attorneys across New England on digital marketing solutions.
“Those early roles showed me how businesses operate,” Brewer explains. “I got to see where companies struggled and how the right solutions could help them grow.”
His time in corporate America was valuable, but Brewer felt a pull to build something of his own.
Moving West to Start Greenhub
In 2020, Brewer made a bold move. He relocated to Las Vegas to launch his own company, Greenhub. The firm helps businesses streamline payment processing, cut unnecessary costs, and boost profitability.
“The idea came from seeing how many companies were overpaying for payment services,” Brewer says. “I wanted to create a transparent system that actually worked for the client.”
Starting a business in a competitive industry required focus and grit. Brewer leaned on his athletic mindset, applying the same discipline he once used in soccer.
Growth and Recognition
Under Brewer’s leadership, Greenhub gained traction in retail, e-commerce, and B2B sectors. The company earned a reputation for clarity and transparency—qualities often missing in the payments industry.
By 2025, his work was recognized publicly when he was named a Vegas Inc 40 Under 40 honoree. The award highlighted his leadership, innovation, and impact in Southern Nevada.
“It was humbling,” Brewer says. “But really, it’s about the team and the clients we serve. I see it as motivation to keep improving.”
Life Outside the Office
Brewer’s energy doesn’t stop with business. I’m an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys traveling and exploring new places.
“Being outdoors keeps me grounded,” he shares. “It reminds me that growth doesn’t only happen in the office. It happens when you test yourself, whether on a mountain or in business.”
Fitness also plays a key role in his routine. He trains in the gym five days a week, seeing physical discipline as a foundation for success.
Teaching the Next Generation
Now, Brewer is working on a merchant services course designed to help others follow a similar path. His goal is to give aspiring entrepreneurs the tools to escape corporate life and build residual income.
“I want people to know they have options,” he explains. “You don’t have to follow the traditional path if it doesn’t fit you. There’s a way to create freedom and flexibility.”
For Brewer, teaching is another way to give back and expand the impact of his career.
Lessons in Leadership
Looking back, Brewer sees clear parallels between the soccer field and working remotely. Both require persistence, adaptability, and the courage to take risks.
“The biggest lesson I’ve learned,” he says, “is that success isn’t about one big win. It’s about showing up every day, doing the work, and helping others succeed along the way.”
From his early days in Somers to leading Justin Brewer as CEO, his story is one of steady growth and commitment to values. He continues to shape Greenhub while carving a path for others to follow.
