Lesley Beador: From Tahoe Roots to Skincare Entrepreneur

Early Life and the Drive to Learn
Lesley Beador’s story begins near Lake Tahoe, where the mountains shaped her sense of self. She grew up hiking, skiing, and exploring the outdoors. That connection to nature has stayed with her and continues to influence her work and lifestyle.
She showed determination early on. While still in high school, she started taking community college classes. By her sophomore year, she was balancing both. “I wanted to move forward faster,” she recalls. “I graduated high school six months early because I didn’t want to wait to start the next chapter.”
This discipline and independence became the foundation for her career.
A Passion for Family and the Arts
Family is at the centre of everything Beador does. She is a mother of three and celebrates each child’s creativity. Her daughter Inga is pursuing acting, while Anna has interests in both singing and acting. Their choices reflect the family’s shared love of the arts. “I encourage them to follow what excites them,” Beador says. “Creativity should be nurtured, not contained.”
Her family life is filled with travel and adventure. She and her husband David, a civil engineer who designs bridges and freeways, split their time across Park City, Montana, and visits to Yellowstone National Park. These experiences fuel both her business ideas and her personal outlook.
Building a Skincare Line
Today, Beador is developing her own skincare line. It’s more than a business idea—it’s a personal mission. “I’ve always believed that feeling good about your skin changes how you carry yourself,” she explains. Her focus is on wellness and beauty products that support confidence and health.
The inspiration for this venture came from her own experiences. Spending summers in the sun and winters in the snow gave her a unique perspective on how skin responds to different environments. “I needed products that worked no matter the season or location,” she says. That challenge has shaped her approach to product design.
Philanthropy and Community Engagement
Alongside her entrepreneurial work, Beador commits time to philanthropy. She volunteers with Meals on Wheels, delivering food and support to people in need. “It’s not just about the meal,” she explains. “It’s about the human connection and making sure people feel cared for.”
Her involvement in charitable organisations reflects the same philosophy she applies to her business—practical solutions that improve everyday life.
Lessons From Travel and Adventure
Travel has been another key teacher. Beador has visited 48 states across the U.S. Each trip has given her insights into how different communities live and thrive. “Travel opens your eyes to how people solve problems in unique ways,” she says.
These lessons feed into her entrepreneurial mindset. When she and her husband restore historic homes in Park City, for example, she draws on the appreciation for history and detail she has gained through travel. “Each home has a story, and I want to honour that while making it functional for today,” she notes.
A Lifestyle Rooted in Balance
Beador’s daily routine reflects her belief in balance. She enjoys yoga, spin classes, paddle boarding, and skiing. She also makes time for crafting with her children. “Work matters, but so does joy,” she says. “If you can’t find energy in your own life, it’s hard to give energy to others.”
Looking Ahead
Beador’s journey shows how personal values and professional drive can align. From her early determination to graduate ahead of schedule, to her hands-on philanthropy, to her current work on a skincare brand, she has consistently sought ways to combine ambition with meaning.
“Building something new takes patience,” she reflects. “But if it’s grounded in who you are, the work feels natural.”
Her story demonstrates that leadership in business can come from blending creativity, family, and a commitment to community.
