What inspired you to pursue a career in nutrition and fitness?
My passion for health and fitness started at a young age. Growing up in Baltimore, I was always fascinated by how food could impact the body. I wanted to understand the science behind it, which led me to study nutrition. Working with large supplement brands taught me about quality ingredients and effective formulations. That experience laid the foundation for my own venture in nutrition.
What do you believe is the biggest misconception people have about nutrition?
One major misconception is that eating healthy has to be complicated or expensive. I always tell my clients that simplicity is key—whole foods, lean proteins, and lots of vegetables can go a long way. It’s more about consistency than perfection.
How has strength training influenced your approach to nutrition?
Strength training is a core part of my lifestyle, and it has a huge impact on how I view nutrition. When you lift weights regularly, you realize how critical it is to fuel your body properly. Protein intake, healthy fats, and clean carbs aren’t just recommendations—they’re necessities for performance and recovery.
What motivated you to transition from working for supplement brands to launching your own business?
After working for major brands, I realized there was a gap in how nutrition was communicated to everyday people. I wanted to create something that demystified health and made it accessible. That’s when I decided to take the leap and build my own platform.
How important is community and social media for spreading your message?
It’s incredibly important. Social media allows me to connect with people on a personal level, share my recipes, and answer questions directly. It’s not just about marketing; it’s about building a community that supports each other in their health journeys.
What role does mindset play in achieving health and fitness goals?
Mindset is everything. You can have the best nutrition plan and workout routine, but if you don’t believe in your ability to succeed, it’s hard to achieve real change. I always emphasize the importance of small, sustainable habits over time.
Can you share a success story that has particularly impacted you?
There was a client who came to me struggling with low energy and weight issues. We worked together to make small dietary changes and introduced strength training. Over a few months, she lost weight, regained her energy, and even found a new love for cooking. That transformation is why I do what I do.
How do you stay motivated to work out five days a week?
For me, it’s about routine and accountability. I schedule my workouts like business meetings—non-negotiable. Strength training has become my therapy; it’s where I clear my mind and push my limits.
What advice would you give someone who is just starting their fitness journey?
Start small and stay consistent. Don’t overwhelm yourself with drastic changes. Focus on one habit at a time—like drinking more water or adding vegetables to every meal. Consistency is the secret ingredient to long-term success.
What are your goals for the future in the field of health and nutrition?
My main goal is to continue growing my platform and reach even more people. I want to expand my offerings, create more educational content, and inspire others to live healthier, stronger lives. Ultimately, it’s about leaving a positive impact on as many lives as possible.
