Meet the 100 Highest Paid CEOs in America: Who’s Earning the Most?

Timothy D. Cook

Last year, the highest-paid CEO among U.S. companies with revenues of $1 billion or more was not Satya Nadella, Tim Cook, or Jen-Hsun Huang. Instead, it was James R. Anderson, the newly appointed CEO of Coherent Corp (NYSE: COHR), a global leader in materials, networking, and lasers. Coherent CEO Jim Anderson received a total compensation package of $101.5 million. Close behind him was Starbucks CEO Brian Niccol, who was awarded $95.8 million following his appointment in September 2024. In both cases, more than 90% of their compensation was in the form of long-term equity awards.
