Culina Group Appoints Liam McElroy as CEO, Fabian Koehler as Deputy Group CEO

Culina Group has announced the appointment of Liam McElroy as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), while Fabian Koehler, the company’s Chief Strategy Officer, has been named Deputy Group CEO.

McElroy, who has held senior positions in the logistics and travel sectors at companies such as GXO, Swissport, Wincanton, and DHL, recently completed interim leadership roles within the logistics industry. He is set to officially join Culina Group on February 24.

Koehler, who assumes his new role with immediate effect, previously served in senior leadership positions at Kuehne + Nagel, most recently as Senior Vice President of the company’s Road Logistics division for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. As Deputy Group CEO, he will report directly to McElroy and contribute to the execution of the company’s long-term strategy.

These leadership changes come as part of Culina Group’s broader strategic realignment, which structures its operations under three key divisions: Chilled, Ambient, and Co-packing. Alastair Isbister was appointed CEO of the Ambient division in 2024, while Steve Winwood continues to lead the Chilled division, and Andrew Dawson remains CEO of Co-packing.

Commenting on the appointments, Theo Müller Junior, Chair of the Culina Supervisory Board, stated that McElroy’s extensive experience in logistics, business-to-business, and retail sectors would provide valuable insights into opportunities for the company as it continues to adapt its operations to meet the evolving needs of its customers. He also expressed enthusiasm about Koehler’s new role, emphasizing that he would work closely with McElroy to drive the company’s strategic transformation program and support its long-term growth objectives.
