Turkish Airlines Recognized by Guinness World Records as the Airline Flying to the Most Countries

Turkish Airlines has been officially recognized by Guinness World Records as the airline flying to the most countries, cementing its status as a leader in global aviation.

The record was confirmed at Santiago’s Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport during the carrier’s inaugural flight to Chile. This addition expanded Turkish Airlines’ network to 131 countries, with 120 active routes verified over the past year.

Turkish Airlines CEO Bilal Ekşi described the recognition as a significant achievement, emphasizing the airline’s dedication to connecting people, cultures, and destinations worldwide. Guinness representative Talal Omar commended Turkish Airlines for its ambitious vision, highlighting the achievement as a reflection of the airline’s global importance.

Established in 1933 with a modest fleet, Turkish Airlines now operates 491 aircraft and serves 352 destinations. As a Star Alliance member, the airline continues to grow its network, reinforcing its commitment to uniting the world through Türkiye.

Ekşi remarked that the record solidifies the airline’s leadership in the aviation sector and represents a proud moment for both the company and the nation as it continues to bridge people and cultures globally.
