NürnbergMesse CEO Peter Ottmann’s Contract Extended to 2029

The Supervisory Board of NürnbergMesse has unanimously agreed to extend CEO Peter Ottmann’s contract until 2029. Led by Nuremberg Lord Mayor Marcus König and Bavarian finance and home affairs minister Albert Füracker, the board decided at its 147th meeting to prolong the tenure of Ottmann, who has served as joint CEO since 2011 and sole CEO since 2023.

König emphasized that the extension of Ottmann’s contract would ensure continuity in the company’s leadership. He noted that Ottmann’s extensive experience, global connections, and innovative mindset would be instrumental in guiding NürnbergMesse towards a secure future through 2029, setting the course for the next decade.

Füracker highlighted Ottmann’s integral role in shaping NürnbergMesse, praising his expert management and strategic initiatives that have successfully navigated the company through both prosperous and challenging times. He expressed his satisfaction with the board’s decision, confident that the company’s management would remain in capable hands for the next five years, and wished continued success to Ottmann and the NürnbergMesse team in enhancing Nuremberg’s appeal as a trade fair location.

Ottmann expressed his delight at being able to continue leading the company, especially during NürnbergMesse’s 50th anniversary. He conveyed his gratitude to the Supervisory Board for their trust and acknowledged the support from the City of Nuremberg and the Free State of Bavaria, expressing his eagerness to continue the company’s success story with his team.
