Amir Ben-Yohanan on Why Social Media Influencers Matter Today

Amir Ben-Yohanan sees first-hand the power of influencers.

Amir Ben-Yohanan has a unique perspective as the chairman, chief executive, and financial officer of Clubhouse Media Group, Inc. His company offers management, production, and deal-making services to its influencers. The company also has a management division for influencer clients. In addition, the company offers an investment arm for joint ventures and acquisitions for companies in the influencer space.

The Rise of Social Media Influencers

Social media has driven the rise in celebrities and others who have become famous and wealthy for their social posts. Influencers can drive trends, boost product sales, and have an oversized effect on events, products, and celebrities.

Influencers have grown in impact as social media platforms like Tik Tok and Instagram have gained popularity.

Due to how these platforms work, influencers can help shape our conversations. They can decide what we view on social media and what becomes trendy, often in a few days or hours.

In a pre-social-media age, Amir Ben-Yohanan notes that celebrity endorsements were the way to influence consumers. Endorsements on television, radio, and print could drive sales, especially with celebrities whose lifestyles align with brands.

Connections Foster Influence

Today, however, influencers are about much more than product endorsements. Ardent followers have a peek into every controlled aspect of an influencer’s life. Fans follow activities, events, highs and lows, and the daily lifestyles influencers exhibit and choose to share.

Social media provided the perfect outlet for the rise of influencers. Many of us spend more time on Instagram, Tik Tok, Snapchat, Facebook, and others than on traditional media. Marketers will hire influencers to boost brand recognition on the most popular platforms.

Opt-in marketing is one of the most effective ways of influencing work. Followers choose to connect with influencers whom they admire, Amir Ben-Yohanan notes.

Consumers can connect with followers and indirectly to the brands they promote. In addition, the power to share and like posts creates social proof, allowing for brand messaging to spread organically.

Influencers have a powerful impact not just on brands but on causes and movements. Social media provides a different outlet for their followers to discuss ideas and issues with like-minded fans.

Ben-Yohanan Inks Major Deals

Amir Ben-Yohanan is also a chief executive officer of a Clubhouse Media Group subsidiary, West of Hudson Group, founded in 2000. The company’s portfolio includes broadcast, digital, and print media.

He brings to the work background in business. Ben-Yohanan earned a graduate degree in business from the University of Sydney Business School. He previously worked for AT&T Corp., as a senior director in finance.

In recent months, his company has signed deals with major influencers.

In March 2022, he announced new brand deals with Ireland Baldwin, the actress, and fashion model. Baldwin is the daughter of actors Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger.

In January 2022, Amir Ben-Yohanan announced several other deals with rappers Soulja Boy and Bow Wow. The company also signed deals with social media influencer Summer Rae and actor Andrew “King Bach” Bachelor. The company also represents boxer Mike Tyson and actor and singer Mandy Moore.
