Leading Photographers To Intern Within Europe

Male photographer in action

You get to learn the technical aspects of photography, like lighting and post-processing, at the photography school. But classroom training can only teach you so much. Photography is an exciting but challenging industry to get into. An internship is an excellent way to understand how the lessons in school apply in the real world. As a novice photographer, you can gain precious field experience that makes it easier for you to enter the industry. As an intern, you’ll have a deep understanding of assisting and being a photographer. You’ll learn a lot about photography, how a photography studio works, and the business side of things. You’ll also be able to quote appropriately while most photography graduates undervalue their work.

The leading photographers in Europe to intern with are:

  1. Lee Jeffries
Lee Jeffries is an accountant living in Manchester who is also a passionate self-taught photographer. Thanks to his liaisons in the footballing world, he had started out covering sporting events. But his perception of photography changed drastically after an unexpected meeting with a homeless girl. He has been capturing portraits of homeless people in Europe and the US ever since. He has successfully raised awareness about and funds for the homeless thanks to his black-and-white portrait photos.
  2. Marina Cano
Marina Cano graduated as a musician, although she had been clicking photographs from her teenage days. She found her calling in photography after going along with her father when he went for photography trips to Africa. She grew as a wildlife photographer by clicking vivid pictures of animals at Cabárceno Wildlife Park in Cantabria, home to more than 100 animal species. After turning professional, she has captured stunning photos of the wildlife in Europe, England, South Africa, Kenya, Cape Town, Spain, and several other countries.
  3. Thomas Morel
His Instagram account is proof of his knack to capture the climax, making his photographs outstanding. Almost all the time, he captures astonishing and extraordinary moments that disappear in the blink of an eye. While Thomas is adept at capturing the special moments perfectly, his photographs are known to be zestful. The shots of people in action sports, birds, and flies are particularly impressive.
  4. Rankin
After graduating with him from London College of Printing, Rankin started a youth fashion and culture magazine called Dazed & Confused along with and Jefferson Hack. He is most notably known for his photography of top models such as Heidi Klum and Kate Moss, celebrities like David Bowie and Madonna. In 2002, he famously took a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. He is also a TV celebrity. BBC has broadcast his 1-hour documentary, Seven Photographs that Changed Fashion. He has also presented the BBC Four documentary, America in Pictures – The Story of Life Magazine. He was actively involved with the television reality show, Britain’s Missing Top Model. And he has shot for and appeared as a guest judge on Germany’s Next Top Model.
  5. Max Rive
Hailing from a low-lying and flat country, the Dutch landscape photographer first came across mountains during a visit to the Swiss highlands when he was five. He started clicking pictures in the mountains when he visited them once between studies, aged 18. He has been bewitched by mountains ever since. His pictures often depict mountains as heavenly and pristine structures that belong in a dream. Photography became his purpose behind scaling the beautiful mountains in Argentina, Chile, Greenland, New Zealand, Norway, Scotland, and Sweden. In 2017, he won the awards for the International Landscape Photographer of the Year and the International Landscape Photograph of the Year within four years of becoming a professional photographer.
