Rustam Gilfanov – biography of the venture partner of the LongeVC Fund

Rustam Gilfanov is an IT entrepreneur, and a venture partner of the LongeVC Fund.

Family 

Rustam Gilfanov is 38 years old. He was born on January 6, 1983 in the Perm Territory (the village of Basim). In his childhood Rustam was interested in science fiction and mathematical sciences.

Education 

As soon as Rustam got his secondary education, he entered the Udmurt State Institute. In 2005 the future prominent IT expert obtained a law degree. He mastered the profession of insolvency officer. During his student years, Rustam Gilfanov was an active participant of numerous events and conferences.

Career

The studentship of Rustam Gilfanov coincided with the time generally recognized as the boom in the development of the Global Network. When working hard to obtain a law degree, the future investor displayed his interest in IT. This resulted in a great idea of establishing his own IT startup. However, before that Rustam Gilfanov obtained extensive experience in co-working in various unique international IT projects. The knowledge of law was beneficial in the formation of the Rustam’s confidence.

In 2006, with the support of his partners, Rustam Gilfanov established a small IT company. Nowadays it is considered to be one of the largest market players in the software development industry. The company has many achievements, e.g. the creation of more than 100 unique gaming applications and the establishment of offices in Malta and Cyprus.

As soon as Rustam established his own company, he developed new entrepreneurship in his brainchild. It is focused on offering high-quality support to young talented specialists and forming the most advantageous conditions for developing HR. It took only five years to increase the company HR up to 1,000 employees. It is notable that here, every employee has got all the required opportunities for using their working potential.

Charity 

Rustam Gilfanov is also known as a benefactor. On a constant basis he integrates projects on developing corporate social responsibility into an IT company. Rustam pays great attention to creating education projects for young people.

LakiBuks is probably the most famous charity project of Rustam Gilfanov. It was actively supported by the Ya—Maybutne Ukrainy Fund. The project aims at supporting talented writers and promoting Ukrainian non-fiction among teenagers.

Rustam Gilfanov also supports a wonderful initiative on the restoration of the children’s library in Kyiv and its development into a library hub. This idea was created jointly with the Biblioteky Maybutniogo project. The library now has a computer room where the leading developers of the company organize programming courses. It was planned as a one-time project but now operates on an ongoing basis and covers the whole of Ukraine.

Private Investments

Rustam Gilfanov has recently declared his intention to cease his operating business and pay more attention to making investments in the most interesting and promising IT projects on financial technologies, video streams, and gaming that are becoming more and more popular nowadays.
