LVMH chief Bernard Arnault Reclaims Spot As The Richest Person on Earth
Days after losing the title of the richest person on earth to Amazon’s Jeff Bezos, LVMH chief Bernard Arnault reclaimed the No. 1 spot. With a shocking net worth of $194.8 billion, Arnault has moved ahead of Bezos. Bezos is now listed at $193.4 billion, as of June 12, 2021.
Imagine if you’d noticed.
A vast majority of Jeff Bezos’ wealth is tied up in his Amazon shares — Bezos owns about 10 percent of the e-commerce giant — in addition to an estimated $19 billion worth of cash and investments, $500 million in real estate, plus aerospace company Blue Origin and the Washington Post.
Right now, it’s mainly a battle between Bernard Arnault, the CEO and Chairman of LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton SA (OTCPK:LVMHF) (OTCPK:LVMUY) and Amazon.com Inc (NASDAQ:AMZN) founder Jeff Bezos that has seen the two bounce back and forth several times between first and second places, which will probably continue to happen. Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) CEO Elon Musk ranks third on the list, followed by Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, and Warren Buffett.
