With an estimated net worth of $23.8 billion, Australian mining magnate Gina Rinehart is the wealthiest person in Australia, that’s according to CEOWORLD magazine’s Australia Rich List Index For 2021. The CEOWORLD magazine Rich List, published today, revealed 45 of Australia’s wealthiest people and some very recognizable faces. The number two spot for Australia was occupied by Andrew Forrest worth $20.2 billion.

Have you ever wondered how many Australians in the world have a net worth of 1 billion dollars and above? Well, there are just 45. According to the latest Forbes list of the world’s billionaires, there are 2,755 billionaires in the world and there are just 45 Australians amongst them.

Atlassian co-founder Mike Cannon-Brookes is third on the list with $14.4 billion. Scott Farquhar, co-founder, and co-CEO of software company Atlassian holds the 4th spot with a whopping net worth of $14.2 billion, followed by Harry Triguboff ($11.3 billion); Anthony Pratt ($10.8 billion); John, Alan & Bruce Wilson ($5.8 billion); 5.2 ($5.8 billion). Kerry Stokes and Clive Palmer rounded up the top ten wealthiest people in Australia with $4.5 billion and $3.8 billion, respectively.
