Canada’s mega-billionaires who have gotten the biggest boost to their net worth this year

As the world has grappled with coronavirus, Canada’s richest man Joseph Tsai added some $720 million to his fortune as of today to take his total tally to US$13.4 billion and was ranked 149 on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. Meanwhile, Sherry Brydson added US$824 million to push his fortune to US$11.8 billion.

The coronavirus pandemic has whiplashed global markets this year, still these 13 mega-billionaires have seen their net worth increase amid the market mayhem.
