“Nothing is greater than serving others with a great heart. We live in a world where there is a huge competition for takers and the least competition for givers. So, be a giver and serve your societies and communities to build a better world.” ―Professor M.S. Rao
Happy New Year 2021!
I wish you a very happy, prosperous, and exciting new year. The year 2020 was full of challenges. The coronavirus has thrown the world out of gear. It is time for you to take feedback for the previous year. What have you achieved in 2020? Identify your achievements and congratulate yourself. Identify the areas where you failed to accomplish your goals and clear the roadblocks by changing your strategies. Understand the difference between what you can control and what you cannot control. Don’t brood over the things that are beyond your control. Explore ways and means to clear the roadblocks on your path to accomplishing your goals. Be part of the solution, not the problem. Don’t change your goals. Change your strategies to reach your goals. Remember that you rarely get things on a platter. You have to struggle hard to achieve success. You have to dig deeper to explore opportunities. It is a cutthroat competitive world where everyone is working hard. You must follow the road less traveled to stand out from others. Be smart and wise. List out your goals. Rank them based on your passion and priority. Schedule them. Focus on them consistently. Expect a few external distractions and deviations. Be prepared mentally. Keep moving forward to accomplish your goals.
Set SMART Goals
SMART is the acronym for specific, measurable, achievable, realistic/relevant, and time-bound with certain deadlines. Think and ink your goals because written goals provide you the right direction towards your life. Take action. Keep moving forward aggressively. Here are some areas you must consider exploring in the year 2021. Emphasize mindfulness. Take care of your health. Hit the gym regularly. Do yoga or meditation. Offer prayers regularly because prayers are the best ways to achieve peace and happiness. Ensure work-life integration. Previously there was an emphasis on work-life balance. Presently there is an emphasis on work-life integration. Enjoy the journey of your life. Don’t worry excessively about your unpleasant past. Don’t carry emotional baggage. Don’t be overly concerned about the future. Learn to live in the present. Lead your life mindfully. Enjoy the journey toward your destination.
