5 Best Shopping Destinations in Europe, 2020

Fashion Shopping

Whether you are European or just a traveler, whether you travel for work or vacation Europe is a captivating continent and a super safe playground to visit. Apart from its geological diversity that has a lot to offer, Europe is the mother of culture and fashion for ages. Museums, palaces, and castles are common in this part of the world and ever since these things existed, fashion trends made their appearance as well.

The most famous centers for clothing; Paris and Milan have grown at an enormous speed during the last decades hosting every eccentric designer. Today we are going to guide you on how to move to some of the best cities in Europe to shop.

Fashion Shopping

We will try to help you avoid the more common areas and move to the luxurious parts of Europe to find something really special.

  1. Paris, France
Writing about where to shop in Paris could last forever since it offers a great variety of options. Starting with Avenue Montaigne which is maybe the most expensive place for shopping in Europe you will find Christian Dior, Givenchy, and Channel brands to buy not only aroma and beauty products but also accessories. Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré is a big street to find collections of Balenciaga, Alexander McQueen, and Tom Ford. You can also keep in mind that we only talk about retail. Of course, you have not been to Paris, if you have not been to Avenue des Champs-Elysées for shopping. Starting at Arc du Triumph you will walk down the street up to Luxor Obelisk to buy Luis Vuitton, Cartier, and Guerlain only to get excited about meeting the chic French brands. All of these brands have been in the industry since forever bringing their prestige to even higher levels.
  2. Milan, Italy
Milan is one of the world’s leaders when it comes to fashion and design. What we love about Milan is that the city is practically designed for shopping, since it has all of the fancy shops located in a relatively small area. Your shopping day should start at Via Della Spiga, Via Montenapoleone, Via Alessandro Manzoni, and Corso Venezia. All of these streets make the Quadrilatero d’Oro, which means the golden quadrilateral. It would be also nice to buy something nice for your home since Italy has a history of ceramics. For porcelain Richard-Ginori and home décor Fornasetti. Last but not least, at Galleria Vittorio Emanuele you will meet maybe the oldest shopping center in Italy to meet your favorite Italian designers like Versace, Armani, Dolce & Gabbana, and Gucci. The area is also suitable for walking to admire the architecture and the Opera House of Milan.
  3. London, United Kingdom
The capital of the UK is a more trendy place to shop. England has always been known for its differentiation in style and fashion and it is still a must to see the alternative proposal of fashion in Europe. Brands from other countries appear in London in a more stylish and authentic version.

    Fashion Shopping

Bond Street is where you want to start from. Tiffany, Burberry, and Jimmy Choo are available among other expensive brands. Another street to go for a shopping walk would be Mount Street at Mayfair. Beauty related products, art and antiques, and clothing shops are all here. Marc Jacobs and Balenciaga are two of the luxury brands you can visit on this street. Harrods is a famous shopping mall with 330 departments that combines it all, from sophisticated gastronomic proposals to clothing fashion, and items for the house.

  4. Zurich, Switzerland
Zurich, the second biggest city in Switzerland and of course due to its unique aesthetic you can only wait for a more strict but yet classy kind of approach in fashion. Bahnhofstrasse is the main road for exclusive shopping. Now Switzerland is mostly known for its watches. Couture Watch Rolex Used, Blancpain, and Vacheron Constantine are the three main shops to buy watches on this street. Switzerland is the main manufacturer country of luxury watches and therefore the prices of these gems in Zurich are expected to be cheaper compared to other European cities. Living fashion aside, remember that exclusive chocolates will make you want to live there.
  5. Rome, Italy
We left Rome for the end not to minimize its importance but to underline the fact that suggesting only one Italian city among Europe for shopping, would be a huge mistake. Rome is the capital of Italy and somehow it is the capital of shopping, due to its accessibility and overall beauty. First, we would like to focus your attention on Femme Sistina, where lots of celebrities have been shopping over the fifty years, that has been open. Via Condotti is a quite popular street and the boutiques of famous designers inject an elite note to the street. Via di Monserrato is by now synonymous of wealth, hosting boutiques of the world’s acceptable designers, such as Fabio Salini.
