The Healthiest (And Unhealthiest) Cities In America To Live For 2020

The City of Miami in Florida ranks as the healthiest city in America for 2020, while Georgia’s capital city Atlanta and San Francisco placed second and third, respectively. Eight out of 50 of the healthiest cities in America are in California.

Denver, CO; Austin, TX; and Seattle, WA join Miami and Francisco in the top five healthiest US cities. Washington DC was ranked 7th healthiest city in America for 2020, followed by Tampa, FL (No. 8); Minneapolis, MN (No. 9); Raleigh, NC (No. 10).

Methodology: The report ranked the healthiest (and unhealthiest) cities in the United States to live. Based on factors including residents’ overall health, behaviors, attitudes towards wellness, and the success of local wellness businesses like gyms and spas. The researchers surveyed 20,000 American adults in the 50 most populous US cities on their fitness and wellness habits and analyzed health data and other data from sources including the US Census and business listing services.
