Cities With The Most Video Surveillance Cameras Per Capita In The World, 2020

Southwest China’s Chongqing Municipality has the most security cameras per capita in the world, according to data collected by precisesecurity. In all, 8 out of the top ten cities in the world with the largest number of video surveillance cameras installed are located in China.

Chongqing had 2,579,890 cameras (168.03 per 1,000 People), followed by Shenzhen with 1,929,600 (159.09 per 1,000 People); Shanghai with 2,985,984 (113.46 per 1,000 People); Tianjin with 1,244,160 (92.87 per 1,000 People); and the city of Jinan in Shandong province, 540,463 (73.82 per 1,000 People).
