Countries with the greatest potential for the development of adventure tourism in 2020

Algeria has been ranked as the world’s number one travel destination with the greatest potential for the development of adventure tourism in 2020, according to a new report by British Backpacker Society (BBS) on Lonely Planet. In 2018 it was Pakistan and last year Ethiopia’s Danakil Depression was ranked first.

The 2020 edition named Algeria as the best country to go for travelers looking for adventure. Saudi Arabia came out second in the rankings. Pakistan came in third, with its breath-taking mountain scenery, fabulous food, and probably the world’s greatest “road trip.” Iran took the fourth spot. Kazakhstan rounded out the top five as an adventure travel secret that “is bound to get out soon”.
