The Best Hotels In Malia (Crete) For Business Travelers, 2020

Alexander Beach Hotel & Village

The coastal town of Malia is located about 36 km east of Heraklion. The main road divides it into two distinct parts. Old Town Malia is laidback and is located at the foot of Mount Selena. The newer part is located near the shoreline. In fact, it is so lively that the Malia Beach Road remains closed at night, thanks to the partying and drinking!

Just outside the old town are the remains of the Palace of Malia. Remains of some of the royal apartments are a must-visit. The enormous church of Agios Nektarios is also worth visiting.

Malia is blessed with a long strip of sandy beaches. Out of those, Potamos Beach is less crowded and will let you sunbathe in peace. Malia Beach Road has many cafes, bars, and tavernas where you can grab a drink and have some snacks. The only reason one may want to go away from the beach area is Acqua Plus. It is the biggest water park in Heraklion, Crete.

The adventurous ones will like the ringos, paragliding, and jet skiing facilities in Malia. You may also visit Crazy Golf, an 18-hole mini-golf course.
