The bustling and happening capital city of Thailand- Bangkok has much more than it meets the eye. The city never sleeps and is always high on energy at any part of the day.

With eight million inhabitants in the city, Bangkok has a huge list of must-try activities. One of the greatest aspects of Bangkok is of warm nature, and the embracing vibe it gives to the global traveler. Here are some of the evergreen activities to do in Bangkok which one cannot afford to miss:

  1. Watch the Reclining Buddha at Wat Pho: Bangkok is a destination where most of the inhabitants follow Buddhism and the historic aspect of it quite evident. The first-ever activity you must do in Bangkok is to visit the incredible Reclining Buddha statue, which has a gold hue. History says that Buddha did 108 positive actions to attain this perfect posture. During the walk inside the temple, 108 bowls can be seen which one can buy coins for them!
  2. Visit the Grand Palace: This palace is where the king of Bangkok used to reside and now it is the place where government activities take place. A trip here is quite exhausting but worth it because there are over 214,000 square meters area to cover. It is quite a breathtaking side to visit the palace area as it is like a city within itself.

  3. Ride the Sky Train: While there are many ways to see around Bangkok, traveling in the sky train is the most comfortable and reliable way to look at the city. The spectacular views of the city also come with fewer hassles of the city traffic during the sky train trip! And Bangkok is so well connected that, traveling as a stranger in the sky train is not a tough task at all.

  4. Shop at Chatuchak Market: With 8000 stalls over 27 acres of space, this is one of the greatest shopping markets in the world. During the weekends, the market hits almost 200,000 visitors a day. Almost everything imaginable for sale can be found in this place. Another additional perk is pocket-friendly prices, which are not too taxing on tourists!
  5. Go Boating at Chao Phyara River: Interestingly, Bangkok is often referred to as Venice of the East because of Chao Phyara River flowing in between the city. This river is the lifeline for the city with more than 50,000 people commuting through it in ferries. A boat trip down the river is amazingly fascinating where one can see luxurious hotels on one side and wooden shacks with children playing on the other side.

  6. Have a Thai Massage: The most obvious and attractive activity which is linked with Thailand is the soothing massage. Indulge in a traditional Thai massage at Bangkok to calm those traveled nerves and rejuvenate yourself for better experiences!
