Top 5 Things Every College Student Must Have

University can turn out to be pretty overbearing and overwhelming for the students. In this situation, few people might overlook some of the most necessary items they would be needing in their student life. These items are essential and will certainly help make a student’s life easier. It is always suggested that people make a list of all the important things to buy before they go shopping for university supplies. The following are the top 5 things that students should consider adding to their shopping list.

  1. Laptop
One of the most basic electronic items that every student needs these days is a laptop. Whether it be a school presentation or a project, with a personal laptop it becomes easier for a student to prepare all your assignments, even while on the go. Buy a laptop that can easily fit in your backpack and can be taken anywhere with you. With most educational institutions being digitized rapidly, to increase efficiency, owning a laptop can be very useful for a student.
  2. Alarm Clock
When it comes to waking up on time in the morning, it is always better to trust a traditional alarm clock. One might wonder that in a world of smartphones, why would one need an alarm clock. The answer lies in the fact that smartphones can’t be trusted when it comes to their batteries; having an alarm clock will ensure that you always have a trustworthy device to wake you up. Further, studies have proved that it is not a good idea to sleep with your cellphone kept near you, so with an alarm clock, you can keep your cellphone safely away from you while sleeping and still not worry about waking up in the morning.
  3. Printer
Buying a printer might seem like an expensive task but it will help reduce printing costs in the long run. With multiple assignments and projects to be submitted every other week, it might seem an uphill task to find a place to get all of them printed. The task can be made easy by buying a printer for yourself. This will help save you money and time and you won’t have to go to the printing shop every time you need to print even a small document.

  4. A spacious backpack
A backpack is the most essential thing for a student as it helps you carry all your important stuff with you to college and also helps you keep them organized. Buy a backpack with multiple compartments, separate for laptops, books, and notebooks. Multiple compartments help in organizing your stuff and will make it easier for you to find what you need. There are certain things that you can keep in your backpack apart from a laptop, books, and notebooks, such as, pencil case, water bottle, small lunch box, headphones, charger, a small bag of personal items, and necessary medicines. You can take everything you need, anywhere you go, by putting it in your backpack and carrying it along with you. So, stop carrying your material in your hands and get a backpack!
  5. Reusable water bottle
With the stress of school and extracurriculars, students might forget to keep themselves hydrated. To avoid this from happening, buy a reusable water bottle. This way, you’re only spending on a bottle once and you can refill it whenever you want to. You can also carry the water bottle everywhere you go, and keep drinking from it. Having a reusable water bottle will also decrease plastic consumption, which is the need of the hour. Take the water bottle with you everywhere you go and never forget to stay hydrated.

As mentioned earlier, student life can be a little overbearing with all the assignments, projects, extracurricular, and deadlines. With the aforementioned top 5 things every student must buy, you can always count to make your life easier, a little more organized, and a lot more convenient. So do add these things to your shopping list, along with the items you think would add to your productivity. Buying a laptop or a printer may seem to an expensive affair, but it would all be worth it at the end!
