These Are The 5 Best Universities In Russia

    Also known as Moscow State University, it is the highest-ranked Russian university in the world. It was established in the year 1755 by the famous polymath, Mikhail Lomonosov.     Saint-Petersburg State University is the oldest university in the country and is federal-state owned. It was established in the year 1724 by virtue of a decree passed by Peter the Great. It has been known by a number of names in the past such as Main Pedagogical Institute, Petrograd Imperial University, and Leningrad State University.     Situated in Novosibirsk, Serbia, Novosibirsk State University is one of the leading educational institutions in the country. It enjoys the reputation of producing academic elites of the country. It was established in the year 1959 and has more than 2000 academic staff members and about 7000 students. The 2019 CEOWORLD magazine’s best universities ranking placed Novosibirsk State University as the #415 best in the World.
    Presently, the University runs programs to train its students in the Russian language. It even offers six levels of Foreign Language course in Russian. It offers all kinds of courses but is best known for courses in physics, mathematics, archaeology, and chemical engineering.

  4. Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology State University.
    More commonly known by its short-form MIPT, it is a university which was established in the year 1946 and is known for training students in the field of theoretical and applied physics, mathematics, and related areas. It runs around 11 departments including Innovation and High technology, Nanotechnologies, Radio Engineering and Cybernetics, and Molecular and Biological Physics.   5. Tomsk State University.
    The last one on the list is Tomsk State University, which is also known as National Research Tomsk State University. It is situated in Siberia and was established by virtue of a decree passed by Emperor Alexander II in the year 1878. It offers instructions in Russian as well as English.
    The University has 23 institutes and faculties, with thousands of students enrolled in various courses offered. It runs many courses including military education, economics, law, physical education, history, chemistry, journalism, foreign languages, Computer Studies, Philosophy, Physics, Philology, and Innovative Technologies. Tomsk State University was ranked #381 in the ​CEOWORLD magazine’s best universities in the world ranking 2019.
    There is also the famous Scientific Library which houses 4 million copies which has given the university much acclaim.
