5 Of The Most Beautiful Island Escapes For American Business Travelers

Got bored of your nomadic life? Just want to vanish away from your workplace and find yourself in the soothing islands? Then we may turn out to be helpful in this case. Go ahead for the stunning island locations near the United States. These are five of the most beautiful island escapes for American Business Travelers, 2019.

  1. Kauai, Hawaii
The lush rainforests and unblemished beaches of the Garden Isle are a gratified treat to everyone’s eyes. The best time to welcome its guests is from April to June and from September to November.
Kauai’s main airport is Lihue Airport in southeastern Lihue. You may also get a direct flight to Kauai. If you don’t have direct connectivity, fly to Honolulu International Airport (HNL) on Oahu and then head to Kauai.

The most prime attraction on the island is the Grand Canyon of the Pacific- Waimea Canyon, which is also home to the Waimea River. Enormous waterfalls don’t fail to captivate everyone’s mind. You can even take a shelter dog on a field trip and if interested, you can also adopt it after seeking permission from The Kauai Humane Society. Pursue your hiking love in the thrilling hiking trails. Its Opaeka‘a Falls and Wailua Falls are complementary to your visit.

  2. Dry Tortugas, Florida
The Dry Tortugas are yet another small group of islands in the Gulf of Mexico. Stroll on the soft and powdery sand, take the sunbath, and swim in the crystal blue waters. The weather is always pleasant to guests, but you can enjoy it thoroughly from November to April and return with loads of memories.

Get out to the most remote National Park in the US by the equally exciting sources. You can hire a fishing charter, experience a seaplane excursion or take a ferry ride from Key West, Florida.
Visit the Dry Tortugas National Park which also homes Fort Jefferson, the largest brick masonry structure in the United States.

That’s a place worth visit for snorkeling, bird watching, diving, boating, swimming, and camping. Adore the majestic flora and fauna found in Loggerhead Key.

  3. The San Juan Islands, Washington
San Juan County consists of more than 170 islands which you can best visit between April to October when you can find 90% of your marine friends in action. July and August remain warmest yet busiest.

The ways to reach the islands are more-unique than the islands themselves. You can take a leisurely ferry ride from Anacortes while adoring the nature’s charm. You can also take a flight on a seaplane from Seattle’s Boeing Field, Lake Union or Lake Washington and enjoy the breathtaking views.

You can either try your hands on kayaking or spend a day hiking.  Go out for the whale and wildlife watching tour. These islands also home various museums, art galleries, bookstores, and antique shops.

  4. Aleutian Islands, Alaska
The Aleutian Islands, a chain of 14 large volcanic islands and 55 smaller ones, attracts tourists the most in June when you can board the Cruise and go for adventurous activities.

You can avail air services and a ferry service other than the Alaska Marine Highway that passes through many of the U.S. islands.
Aleutian World War II National Historic Area is an amazing place with incredible views. Apart from the historical connection, this place also provides good hiking opportunity.

You can encounter wildflowers during summer, ground squirrels, eagles and sometimes whales as well. There are various art galleries and historical museums that add to your knowledge of its history. It also homes various national parks that allows you bear-viewing.

  5. Culebra, Puerto Rico
Culebra, a small island, is surrounded by a few other small islands. While in the northwest lies the Flamenco Beach which is a long arch of white sands and green-blue water surrounded by lush green hills, Tamarindo Beach has crystal clear water where you can witness numerous fish, turtles, and rays.

Winter remains the busiest but for the cheaper visit, go between April and June when even the islands are quieter and the weather is also pleasant. Either fly from San Juan to Culebra or get there from Fajardo by ferry.
Culebra is well-renowned for its pristine beaches. While the world’s best beach,  Flamenco Beach lies here, the calm and clear waters of Tamarindo Beach are ideal for snorkeling and kayaking.

Paddleboarding is also very popular and the interesting ones get magnetized towards it. Where Culebrita Lighthouse is a popular site for Culebra day-trippers, explore one of the smaller islands in Culebra’s archipelago, Culebrita Tide Pools, where you can encounter tiny cute fish.
