Jackets For Women And How To Style Them

Jackets For Women

Jackets protect us from harsh sun rays, torrential rains, and chilling winters. Apart from prevention from rough weather, they can amp up your look when appropriately styled. There are various types and varieties of jackets that every woman needs to have in her wardrobe. Jackets come in different silhouettes and can pull your outfit together while uplifting your style quotient. Here is how you can style these jackets and appear stylish and elegant.

  • Leather Jackets
Leather jackets give you an edgy appearance while keeping your look chic and casual. They are effortless to carry and come in variants such as zipped, buttoned, open and belted styles. The classic black leather jacket is must-have for your wardrobe. If you are open to experiments, you can also opt for brown, red or grey leather jackets which look equally sexy. Pair them with ripped jeans and boots to recreate biker look or team them with sweet summer dresses to give a contemporary twist.
  • Denim Jackets
Denim jackets are the most versatile and easy to style. They go with dresses, skirts, gowns, jeans, shorts, shirts almost alike. Furthermore, denim jackets are available in different shades and patterns such as light-washed, cropped, sleeveless, studded, patch-worked, which are incredibly stylish.
  • Bomber Jackets
Bomber jackets which are also known as biker jackets are uber chic in appearance. They are the perfect blend of tomboyish look with the air of feminity, which gives them an extra edge. Bomber jackets are no more limited to bike rides. You can pair them with cropped tops or tank top and your favorite jeans along with chunky heels during warm weather. For winters throw them over the knit dress to strike a balance between feminine and tomboyish look. These jackets can also go with shorts, pencil skirts, ripped jeans, and maxi skirts.
  • Quilted Jackets
Quilted jackets are nothing but quilted bomber jackets with little extra shine. The right fit of these jackets is an essential factor so as not look bulky. These jackets come to our rescue in initial days of winter when puffed jackets seem too heavy, and leather jackets fail short in providing the necessary warmth. You can team these jacket with knitwear dresses or wear them with jeans, plaid shirts, and winter boots. They can also be layered with a turtle neck or cowl neck sweaters and scarfs for nailing the layering game.
  • Woolen Jackets or Cashmere Shrugs
For the first few weeks of winter when weather is bearable, you can go for light cashmere shrugs instead of heavy woolen or puffed up jackets. But for long chilly winters, you can try woolen coats or jackets that can go well with jeans and boots. These jackets are available in different patterns and shades and are no more restricted to their old monotonous tones.
  • Faux and Fur Jackets
As the name suggests, these jackets have faux or fur detailing around their necks, hoodies or hemlines. Jackets fully covered in delicate fur are also available in markets. They are known for their sophisticated and feminine appearance, which makes you stand out in the crowd. Pink, blush, burgundy, yellow, grey, and whites are some trending color choices for such coats and jackets. For a change from jeans and dresses, you can wear a pleated midi skirt along with cozy fur jackets. You can also wear such a jacket with a designer t-shirt, vinyl pant, and heels for an edgy look.
  • Puffy Jackets
Puffy jackets are no more just winter essential. New variants like sleeveless and off-shoulder designs allow you to utilize them to style your outfit. You can add drama to your look by adorning a puffy jacket with jeans and cinching it at the waist with the aid of a belt. You can also amp up your look by teaming it up with denim on denim outfit.
