How This 24-year-old Entrepreneur, Dylan Jacob, Makes Eight Figures From His Drinkware Business

Dylan Jacob

Entrepreneurship is more than just running a business. It’s about innovation and turning an idea into the most viable reality. The key to becoming a successful innovator is to find a solution to a pertinent problem that people experience on a day-to-day basis. Just like Dylan Jacob did. The 24-year-old entrepreneur is the proud owner of a cutting-edge drinkware brand named BrüMate. The company creates stylish but utility-driven insulated containers to maintain the perfect temperature of your favorite adult beverages.

Dylan is a serial entrepreneur who founded three companies with two successful exits. The idea of BrüMate stemmed from Dylan’s personal experiences. Like everyone, he prefers his beer to be ice-cold. However, most of the times, when the drink is left open, it loses its temperature, making it undrinkable. Dylan realized the wastage and unpleasant experience attached to it. He found the gap in what people wanted versus what was available and eventually nurtured the idea of introducing insulated containers.

BrüMate’s drinkware collection has two iconic products for all your favorite drinks, from beer and wine to whiskey and cocktails. A few of the most popular products are the Hopsulators and Winesulators that keep the drinks at the ideal temperature for over 24 hours.

BrüMate has an in-house marketing agency that oversees and manages the brand’s digital marketing strategies across all platforms. He extended his reach by using social media as the primary channel of marketing, followed by email campaigns and data to launch his products.

BrüMate has also been featured in different case-studies from Klaviyo, Snapchat, and Facebook. To date, Dylan has conceptualized and designed all the products of BrüMate by himself. By leveraging the power of technology, freelancing, and outsourcing, he manages a team of 20 people spread across 6 different countries to support the growth of his company.

Since inception, BrüMate has seen over 15000% growth and continues to expand month after month, making it one of the top 15 fastest-growing privately held companies in America as per Inc. 5000 list. Besides, he was featured in the ‘Forbes 30 under 30 – Retail & E-Commerce’ category and was one of the ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ finalists 2019.

His key strategy has been to listen to the customers first before jumping into production. He adds, “I believe that the reason BrüMate became a huge success is because I focused on a specific niche and provided the best in that segment by solving a common but an often-overlooked issue. Our products are unique, highly functional, and visually appealing. Just how it should be.” He attributes the growth and success of his brand to the three qualities that he possesses as an entrepreneur – attention, innovation, and improvement.
