The United States has been recognized as the best street food destination in the world for 2019, according to CEOWORLD magazine in partnership Truthfulworld Hotels, the luxury hospitality group for business travelers, while India and Singapore placed second and third, respectively.

The 2019 rankings placed Jamaica in fourth ahead of Columbia into fifth; while South Africa ranked sixth, Philippines ranked seventh, and Poland eighth.

All-Time Best Street Food Destinations In The World For 2019:

  1. United States: Where else can you find amazing street food than the most progressive country in the world? The country is breathtakingly famous for Barbecue options and watch out for slow-cooked beef and in North Carolina, try to smoky-sweet pulled pork dipped in barbecue sauce and served along with sandwiches!
    Known for: Everything, really – Hot dogs, hot dogs, and more hot dogs.
  2. India: India is a land of rich history when it comes to food with various foreign influences such as Persia, Iran, European, Anglo with the indigenous tastes. Don’t miss out the street food chat of Bombay chowpatti, or Bengal’s authentic chat flavors for the amazing food experience. From ragada pattice till vada pav, Mumbai offers the best street food in the country.

  3. Singapore: Try out the chili crab in this bustling city at the Cher Yam Tian who has been serving them since the 1950s. The crabs are served by cooking in stir fry fashion in sour and sweet tomato sauce, egg and a lavish offering of chili for the extra spice.

  6. South Africa: The coastal country has a rich history when it comes to food and it offers the delicious snack Bunny chow. Relax, it doesn’t have rabbit meat as the name obviously suggests! Interestingly,it is a dish with hollowed out loaf of bread filled with a wide range of curry options. This snack has its origins from India and the fillings can range from chicken, mutton and whatever your heart yearns for!

  7. Philippines: The sweltering heat of this place can be beat conveniently with a cup of multi-colored dessert named Halo-Halo. It is a sumptuous sundae with red beans, coconut, fruits and topped with syrup servings. To get the complete feel, try it with ice cream, or cream layer with crushed ice.

  8. Poland: Krakow in this country is one city which hosts a food festival exclusively dedicated to Pierogi, a handmade dumping dish. Made from flour, egg, water and salt, the dumplings are often filled with potato, meat and cheese. To make it more healthier, they are first boiled and delicately fried in butter for the extra softness!
