European Countries With The Highest Percentage Of Women Scientists And Engineers

It is clear that we still have a long way to go to reach gender equality, yet there were notable exceptions. In six European countries, the majority of scientists and engineers were women: Lithuania (57% female), Norway (53.84%), Bulgaria (53.40%), Latvia (53.08%), Portugal (51.35%) and Denmark 50.43% (just over 50%).
To identify countries in Europe with the highest percentage of women scientists & engineers, CEOWORLD magazine reviewed Eurostat data, amazingly in six European nations, the majority of scientists and engineers are women.
At the bottom of the ranking were Hungary and Luxembourg (both 25.48%), Finland (28.67%), Switzerland (32.72%), as well as Germany (32.87%).
