Austrian Varsities And The Global Ranking: Top 9 Universities In Austria, 2019

Led by the University of Vienna, Austria has 9 universities among the best institutions in the world, according to the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2019. Performing at the top of the 2 Austrian Varsities, University of Vienna was ranked 143rd, moving up from last year’s 165th, the rankings showed.

Other Austrian universities included in the top 500 rankings were Medical University of Graz (rank: 201-250), Vienna University of Technology (rank: 251-300), University of Innsbruck (rank: 351-400), and Graz University of Technology (rank: 401-500).

University of Graz and Johannes Kepler University of Linz were grouped in the 501-600 cohort, and the University of Leoben in the 601-800 group.
