The world’s 50 most innovative countries, 2017

Well, turns out Switzerland is the most innovative country in the world, according to the the WEF’s Global Competitiveness Index 2017-18, with United States and Israel taking silver and bronze.

Dominated mostly by the European nations, Israel (3rd), Japan (8th), and Singapore (9th) are the three Asian countries that make the top 10. China ranked 28th on the list, followed by it’s neighbour and other major economy in Asia – India at 29th.

What’s the secret of Switzerland’s success, and how long can it continue?

Primarily known for the Alps, cows, and sheep in the 18th century —200 years later, Switzerland is now known for its innovation and strong economy.
