The top 20 countries where women are expected to live longest by 2030

Women in Business

A new report predicts that by 2030, women born in South Korea are projected to be the first in the world to have an average life expectancy of above 90 years. And the United States?

American men are tipped to surpass 79.5 years, and women 83.3 years by 2030. One surprise of the study is the poor performance of the United States, the authors say.

Behind South Korean women, women in France, Japan, Spain, and Switzerland are expected, on average, to live to age 88.

Macedonia had the lowest life expectancy for women at nearly 78 years.

The researchers at the Imperial College London, the World Health Organization, Northumbria University, and the University of Washington analysed 35 countries, including France, the United States, and Singapore, using death and population data from between 1985 and 2010.
