These Are The 50 Most LGBTQ-Friendly Universities In America For 2017

A big round of applause for Princeton University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Princeton ranked first and MIT second among the top 50 most LGBTQ-friendly universities in America for 2017, according to a new ranking by College Choice.

The University of Wisconsin Eau Claire was the third most welcoming campus in America for LGBTQ students, followed by the University of Pennsylvania, University of California Los Angeles, and University of Michigan.

Cornell, Harvey Mudd College, Ohio State, and Johns Hopkins are among the universities that made the top 10 list.

These are the 50 most LGBTQ-friendly universities in America for 2017:

In compiling the “50 most LGBTQ-friendly universities in America for 2017 ranking,” researchers first identified the universities that protect their LGBTQ students through policy inclusion, offer a number of resources and services for LGBTQ students, and intentionally promote LGBTQ perspectives in their curriculum.

It also took into account the academic reputation, affordability, student satisfaction, and average annual salary of graduates from the universities across the country to create a definitive ranking.
