The World’s 25 Most Friendly Cities For International Students 2015

Paris

Paris has topped an annual list of the World’s most friendly cities for international students, followed by Melbourne, London and Sydney.

Overall, United States led the top 50 list with 8 cities, followed by Australia (6), UK (4) and by Canada and Japan with 3 apiece, according to London-based institution-assessment agency QS Quacquarelli Symonds’ annual report.

Meanwhile, Europe boasts 20 cities, North America 12, Asia 9, Oceania 7 and South America 2, respectively.

The index was based on five main factors:

1. university rankings
2. student mix
2. quality of living
4 employment
5. affordability

Note: To be included in the ranking, each city must have a population of over 250,000, and must be home to at least two ranked institutions in the Rankings. 116 cities in the world qualify on this basis, 50 have been ranked.
