And thus is born the 458 Speciale A, cut off the, crank up the power, and jack-up the price — and named the car accordingly. We’ve All Been Waiting For….
It’s called the 458 Speciale A, with the “A” standing for “Aperta,” which means “open” in Italian.
The official price hasn’t been revealed, but it’ll likely cost at least a bit more than $300,000 Speciale coupe.
Just How Powerful: The Ferrari 458 Speciale A?
So, try nearly 597 horsepower V8 engine, and 398lb ft of torque, delivering 0-60 mph in around 3 seconds.
It’s a naturally aspirated 4.5-litre V8, which is the most powerful NA engine ever produced by the Prancing Horse.
The new car sprints from zero to 100km/h in 3.0 seconds, and uses front and rear active aerodynamics as well as Side Slip Angle Control (SSC). It churns out 445kW and 540Nm.
Ferrari is only making 499 units of the Speciale A. Is this the first truly no compromise convertible supercar?
