Larry Page has overtaken Warren Buffett to become the world’s sixth-richest person

As of September 4, 2023, Google co-founder Larry Page has overtaken Warren Buffett to become the world’s sixth richest person. Warren Buffett, who previously held the sixth position, now occupies seventh place with a net worth of $121 billion. In contrast, Larry Page’s net worth has reached $122 billion. This year, Buffett’s wealth has increased by $13.8 billion, while Larry Page’s fortune has grown three times as much, reaching $39.3 billion.

Other billionaires in the top 10 richest list (rank wise) are Elon Musk ($226 billion), Bernard Arnault ($183 billion), Jeff Bezos ($162 billion), Larry Ellison ($134 billion), Bill Gates ($129 billion), Sergey Brin ($116 billion), Steve Ballmer ($114 billion), and Mark Zuckerberg ($108 billion).

Larry Page is a co-founder of Google, now known as Alphabet, which has a market capitalization of $1.5 trillion. He met Sergey Brin while studying at Stanford University in the late 1990s. Together, they collaborated on developing a search engine that would change the way people find information online. Today, most of Larry Page’s wealth comes from his stake in Alphabet.
