Boeing Assigns Stephanie Pope to Serve as COO Effective January 1st

Boeing has assigned Stephanie Pope, currently leading the airframer’s services division, to the newly established role of Chief Operating Officer, effective January 1.

Announced on December 11, Boeing praised Pope as a seasoned veteran of the company, amassing 29 years of diverse experience across various corporate functions.

Pope’s extensive background mostly revolves around finance roles, including serving as chief financial officer for both the global services and commercial airplanes divisions.

In her new capacity as Boeing COO, Pope will supervise the performance of the company’s three business units, focusing on supply chain, quality, manufacturing, and engineering excellence, Boeing outlined.

Upon assuming the new position, Pope will oversee several high-level Boeing executives, including Brendan Nelson, Howard McKenzie, and the chief executives of Boeing’s business units, such as Stan Deal, Ted Colbert, and her eventual successor at Boeing Global Services.

Expressing her enthusiasm, Pope stated, “I am honored to step into this new role and look forward to working closely with Dave, our executive council, and all of our Boeing teammates,” emphasizing the commitment to enhancing operational performance and maintaining customer focus while prioritizing safety, quality, and transparency.
