Patrick Bui Becomes CFO of Dollarama

Dollarama Inc. (TSX: DOL) announced the appointment of Patrick Bui as Chief Financial Officer effective December 18, 2023.

Dollarama is a well-known Canadian value retailer offering a wide array of consumable products, general merchandise, and seasonal items both in-store and online. Additionally, Dollarama has 1,525 locations across Canada and holds a 50.1% interest in Dollarcity, a growing value retailer in Latin America.

President and Chief Executive Officer Neil Rossy expressed his enthusiasm for Patrick joining the leadership team, citing his prior experience in CFO roles and extensive expertise in capital markets. This addition is expected to contribute to Dollarama’s pursuit of its growth objectives and its commitment to delivering convenience and compelling value to consumers.

In response to his appointment, Mr. Bui expressed his excitement about joining the Dollarama team and his eagerness to contribute to the execution of the corporation’s business strategy, aiming to create sustained value for all stakeholders.

Patrick Bui most recently served as the CFO of Transat A.T. Inc., a Canadian leisure airline operator (TSX: TRZ), where he was responsible for leading various financial functions, including investor relations, risk management, and procurement. Before that, he held the role of CFO at Kruger Energy, a renewable-energy producer with operations across the Americas. With 20 years of experience as a finance professional, Mr. Bui also had previous roles at RBC Capital Markets and Morgan Stanley, where he worked as an investment banker and advisor, focusing on growth strategies and financing for companies in various sectors of the economy. Mr. Bui holds an MBA from INSEAD and a Bachelor of Commerce from HEC Montréal, in addition to the CFA designation.
