The Social networking giant Facebook rolled out a handy weather forecast to a number of spots across its platform such as event pages and unowned pages for places like parks and cities, on both Web-based and mobile versions. Weather information is provided by Weather Underground.
It’s a a small design update, but adding a little embedded Weather forecast to event pages could be a big help to users. This makes the social network more sensitive to contextual information, data like location and time of day.
There are a few restrictions though, for Facebook to predict the weather for an event, the event must be no later than 10 days away. If you are a frequent user of ‘Facebook Events’ then you will be happy!!!
Facebook has begun rolling out its weather feature, so watch for it the next time you plan or RSVP to an event.
