Windows 8 Ultrabook might be the last hope of turning back unstoppable momentum of Apple iPad

It looks like, Ultrabook’s success is crucial for computer makers as they are trying to get a piece of the ever-expanding tablet market. Scores of new models will be unveiled during five-day run Taipei’s Computex.

Major PC makers will showcase tablet computers and laptop PCs that run on a preview version of Microsoft Corp.’s (MSFT) Windows 8.  Acer and AsusTek Computer are planning to launch Windows 8-based touch-screen tablet computers and laptop PCs.

COMPUTEX TAIPEI is the world’s 2nd-largest computer trade show after CeBit in Germany. You can check their official website here.

“Windows 8 will create different usages on notebook PCs,” said Gartner analyst Tracy Tsai. She said she expects to see at Computex some ultrabooks that run on Windows 8 equipped with touch-screen-capable displays—a hybrid between tablets and traditional laptop PCs.
