(GOOG), addressed Boston University college graduates and advised to take one hour of each day and turn off their mobile devices or computers— a line that got the biggest roar out of the crowd. He also added that instead of looking at the screen, each of them should “look into the eyes of the person you love.” Furthermore, he said “have a conversation, a real conversation.”
Apparently, he didn’t talk “Facebook”
— “Don’t hit the ‘like’ button. Talk to the people you like and love. Look them in the eye.” — Another: ”Life is not about your friend count, it’s about the friends you can count on.”
The funny part is, during the speech Schmidt remarked about how connected people were today and said, “You are emblems of the sense of possibility that will define this age,” he said, adding that, “If you’re awake, you’re online, you’re connected. Some of you are probably tweeting this speech right now.”
