What do you think Technology giant Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) is planning for this mysterious event? Kara Swisher of All Things Digital broke the news that Apple “Apple is planning an important — but not large-scale — event to be held in New York at the end of this month that will focus on a media-related announcement.”

Alexia Tsotsis at Techcrunch wrote, According to the source the event will not involve any hardware at all and instead will focus on publishing and eBooks (sold through Apple’s iBooks platform) rather than iAds. Attendance will also be more publishing industry-oriented than consumer-focused.

The U.S. consumer electronics giant Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) is not likely to release any new products, such as its iPad 3 tablet or smart TV — tentatively named the iTV — but industry insiders are tipping it to issue some media-related announcements.
