Google Eric Schmidt’s Super Bowl Commercial, hell is freezing over, Parisian Love
By Amarendra Bhushan for CEOWORLD Magazine Updated:February 7, 2010
Eric Schmidt, the CEO of Google [[GOOG]], recently tweeted, Can’t wait to watch the Superbowl tomorrow. Be sure to watch the ads in the 3rd quarter (someone said “Hell has indeed frozen over.”) .John Battelle says Google plans to hit the branded advertising big leagues this Sunday – the source says Google’s “Parisian Love” ad (below) will air during the third quarter of the Super Bowl.
YouTube announced the launch tonight of its Super Bowl ad channel at youtube.com/adblitz , which will allow viewers to vote on the commercials immediately after they air on TV.
TechCrunch editors believe it could either be about Google Search, which will take on Microsoft Bing, or about the Nexus One smartphone. The Nexus One commercial could bring serious attention to the device that hasn’t done well for Google in terms of sales. Either way, we’ll be looking for Google’s first ever Super Bowl commercial to see what they are up to.
