Bravo- Scrapblog Inc. online multimedia scrapbooking service raises $2.5M

Scrapblog Inc., an online service, has raised $2.5 million in a funding round led by Steamboat Ventures, the venture capital affiliate of The Walt Disney Co. Founded in 2006, San Francisco-based Scrapblog now counts over 2 million registered users, who have created more than 4.4 million Scrapblogs. Scrapblog has now raised a total of $10 million. The company’s competitors include travel-focused Everlater and Panraven, as well as Toufee.

A multimedia website allows users to mix their photos, videos, audio and text into what they have dubbed the scrapblog. Once scrapblogs are created they can be shared with whomever the creator chooses, whether that’s a few close friends, or the entire world.
