John Trammell was named CEO of hedge fund-of-funds manager, a $3.5 billion hedge-fund investing firm in New York, Cadogan Management, replacing Stuart N. Leaf, who resigned this week along with Paul Isaac, CIO, and Michael Waldron, head of risk.
Fortis (FORTS.IS) acquired a 70% stake of Cadogan in 2006. BNP Paribas (BNPP.PA) in March announced that it will acquire the assets of Fortis Bank, including the investment management unit, with the deal likely to close early next year.
Joel Gantcher, director of research, and Sander van Stijn, director, were named co-CIOs, replacing Mr. Isaac. Dorothy Carmel, general counsel, was appointed director of research and head of risk, according to a Cadogan client letter that was obtained by Pensions & Investments.
Will Braman, CEO-Americas at Fortis Investments, will remain chairman of Cadogan.
