Just in- Passengers Freed

An Aeromexico flight from the tourist resort of Cancun was hijacked  with 104 people on board and landed in Mexico City.

Three hijackers apparently have taken control of an Aeromexico flight inbound from Cancun to the Mexican capital this afternoon and were threatening to blow up the aircraft unless they can speak personally with President Felipe Calderon.

A reporter for Mexican TV Azteca said he saw about 100 people leave the plane calmly. The pilot could be seen in the cockpit, the reporter said.

The hijackers were reportedly demanding to speak to Mexican President Felipe Calderone.

There are reports that only one hijacker was involved and he had explosives strapped to his legs.

Other reports said there were three Bolivian hijackers who were demanding to talk with Mexican President Felipe Calderon.

when I first came to know this i surely thought it is a new tactic by drug cartels.
