I hope Goldman Sachs do pay the money back, however they will still have to follow the new Regulations, Oversight, and Accountability Standards. Goldman Sachs was the largest beneficiary from this entire taxpayers bailout disaster.

If Goldman Returns Aid, Will Others?
Good news is that. Goldman Sachs is planning to give back its TARP money $10 billion soon, Very soon, ideally within the next month.
“It’s just impossible to run our business in this environment,” said one senior Goldman executive who insisted on not being quoted by name for fear of crossing the Treasury Department.
Goldman Sachs President Gary Cohn said the firm is not likely to return the money received from the U.S. Treasury’s Troubled Asset Relief Program before the stress test, according to TradeTheNews.com.
But, that’s better than them not paying back. Not sure why anyone is complaining about this. The TARP has already been handed out, there’s nothing we can do right now. We can only hope the banks pay back with interest so the government can profit from this move.
