Social Learning Leader Wi5Connect Creates Two New Entities as It Prepares for Major Expansion in 2009

In a move to prepare for national and international expansion in 2009, Wi5Connect, a pioneer in “enterprise social learning communities,” today announced the company’s division into two new entities. Wi5Connect, the original organization, is now headed by President and CEO Matthew Bowman. Bowman’s appointment prepares the company for the major funding that will allow the Wi5 model to serve all of the Fortune 1000 companies who are committed to working with the company on new LearnSocial and CommSocial implementations.

Laurie Lohner, founder and former CEO of Wi5Connect, shifts her responsibilities to the creation of a new organization, Relevate Logic, which will focus its efforts on the customization of the Wi5Connect foundation for the organizations it serves. Lohner’s new company will align with Wi5Connect to provide the industry with best-in-class examples of what Wi5Connect’s technology and its associated principles can truly achieve.
Respectively, the two entities that result from the current restructure will focus on the productization and the customization of Wi5Connect.

Wi5Connect has experienced record growth since its inception in early 2008. In less than a year, the company has produced notable social learning communities for time management/organization experts Stephen R. Covey and Julie Morgenstern along with private internal social learning communities for multiple Fortune 1000 firms.

Matt Bowman, Wi5Connect’s new CEO, is a leading author, speaker, and industry source in the areas of sales, marketing and social media. Bowman joined the Wi5 executive team in August 2008 and brings more than 15 years of senior level sales and marketing experience in the enterprise software, e-Learning, and consulting industries. Prior to joining Wi5Connect, he served as head of sales and marketing of an ECM software company during which time the company went international and became ranked among the 500 fastest growing software companies in the US.
