Rogers Communications CEO Admitted to Hospital, Alan D. Horn acting CEO

Rogers Communications Inc. announces that Ted Rogers, the Company’s Chief Executive Officer, has been admitted to hospital for treatment for an existing cardiac condition. Mr. Rogers will temporarily relinquish his responsibilities as the Company’s Chief Executive Officer. The length of Mr. Rogers’ leave will be determined by his overall health and medical progress.
During this period, Alan D. Horn, Chairman of the Board of Rogers Communications Inc., will serve as acting Chief Executive Officer and lead the
company’s Office of the President. The Board of Directors and employees of Rogers Communications extend their best wishes to Mr. Rogers.

Alan D. Horn, 56, resides in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and has been a director of Rogers Communications Inc. and Chairman of the Board since March 2006. Mr. Horn has been President and Chief Executive Officer of Rogers Telecommunications Limited since March 2006. Mr. Horn served as Vice- President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Rogers Communications Inc. from September 1996 to March 2006 and was President and Chief Operating Officer of Rogers Telecommunications Limited from 1990 to 1996. Mr. Horn is a Chartered Accountant. Mr. Horn received a B.Sc. with First Class Honours in Mathematics from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland.
