Kofax plc (LSE: KFX), the leading provider of Intelligent Capture & Exchange solutions, today announced that CEO Reynolds C. Bish has been named “Director of the Year for Companies in Transition” by the Corporate Directors Forum, an organization that promotes excellence in corporate governance. The award recognizes a director who has significantly contributed to taking a company through major changes such as its start-up, a merger, an acquisition, the sale of the company, executive management changes or other events.
Bish earned the honor for his service on the board of directors at Iomega Corporation (NYSE: IOM), a leading developer of storage and network security products. A director and member of the audit committee, he was recognized for his leadership and contributions during the company’s recent negotiations with and subsequent sale to EMC Corporation.
“Reynolds is a dynamic leader who is driven to maximize shareholder value,” said Linda Sweeney, Executive Director of the Corporate Directors Forum. “He is consistently one to ask questions and think independently about how to make a company or its performance better. When it comes to organizational change, Reynolds not only demonstrates poise and determination, but also the ability to successfully navigate through difficult challenges time and again. This honor is certainly well-deserved.”
Bish served on the board of Iomega from 2006 through the closing of its sale to EMC in June 2008. He is also a member of the board of directors and chairman of the audit committee of I-many Inc. (NASDAQ: IMAN), a leading provider of contract management software.
“I’m honored to receive this prestigious award,” Bish said. “I have a passion for helping companies to improve their performance while keeping a clear focus on shareholder value. I was fortunate to be able contribute in this manner on Iomega’s board.”
