Eddy Cue a New Guy in charge for MobileMe. Rumour: Steve fired Rob Schoeben!

By Amarendra Bhushan for CEOWORLD Magazine Updated:August 21, 2008

It looks like its goodbye for Rob Schoeben, as Eddy Cue will head MobileMe. Steve Jobs was not happy with the iPhone MobileMe service and decided to change the person who is responsible for the same. MobileMe promised syncing of your e-mail, calendar, etc. from your iPhone to your computer. I guess Apple also needs a guy like Carl Icahn to end Steve dictatorship. Apple has issued an apology already, and has offered subscribers a free months of service due to the issues.

Eddy Cue (originally in charge of the iTunes Store) is the now leader of the MobileMe team. Remember the iPocalypse? According to Rene Ritchie of theiphoneblog , Jobs Fires Ex-Microsofty For MobileMe Fiasco. Since the term “getting Steved” is, rightly or wrongly, a near legendary tech-industry meme, it’s safe to say so can a lot of other people. But did this all really go down, and in the way suggested? And is the Microsoft connection merely being played up entirely for the benefit of the “smarts”?
